Introduction

Jerre Repass is a print journalist (newspapers and magazines) and broadcaster (National Public Radio) from Arkansas. She does a weekly radio feature on All Things Considered, reprised on Weekend Edition. Her areas of expertise include the American South, accessible travel and black history. By chance, Repass was in Memphis the night of the King Assassination, and says it was a life-changing, eye-opening experience. She is finding nugget after nugget worth exploring and reporting in even the most known black history. She publishes in several well known magazines on a regular basis and is working on an anthology of historic destinations.
